- Discover Financial Services

- MasterCard Worldwide 
- Visa International 
to provide the Special formal standards bodies to manage the ongoing evolution of the PCI Security Standards.

PCI Security Standards Council is responsible for the following tasks:
- Develop and manage the PCI Data Security Standard, including maintenance, clarification and revision of standards.
 
- Establish and maintain industry-level approval process for qualified security assessors and network scanning vendor.
 
- Publishes and distributes the PCI Data Security Standard.
